Position: Breast Fellowship

This position would suit a 1st or 2nd year trainee.

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia's foremost Cancer Centre and the only public hospital dedicated to the care of patients with malignancy. The Fellowship position at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre involves a large exposure to Breast Cancer (minimum 250 cases per year) and has an active Familial Cancer Centre, Plastic and Reconstructive Service as well as the largest cancer research centre in the country. In addition the unit consists of 5 Breast Surgeons, a Registrar (SET 3-5) and a second year resident. There are 2 full time Nurse Co-ordinators who are intimately involved in the running of the Unit with the Fellows and the Registrars. There is an active teaching program including a weekly academic meeting and a weekly formal tutorial.

This position also involves exposure to advanced care of Melanoma and the opportunity to obtain exposure to the management of soft tissue sarcomas may also be possible.
